Windycon 52 Sanctuary Among the Stars will be held October 9 - 11, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago, 9300 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Rosemont, IL 60018.

The Chicago region is home to the second largest transit system in the country, and it can used to get close to our hotel. The sites below will show you how to travel using buses, trains, and Chicago's "elevated", including schedules and how to purchase tickets. If you are familiar with the system, you can jump straight to the RTA Trip Planner to start your journey.

When using public transportation to get to and from Windycon, your penultimate destionation is likely to be one of two places: O'Hare International Airport or the Rosemont Transit Center

From O'Hare International Airport

However you get to O'Hare, once there the Hyatt's 24-hour Complimentary Shuttle is your friend! The shuttle runs about every 15 mins from 4:00AM through Midnight and every 30 mins from Midnight to 4:00AM.

At the Hyatt, you catch the shuttle and get dropped at the hotel's front entrance.

At O'Hare, from Terminals 1 to 3, follow the signs to the Arrival Level of Terminal 2, which is downstairs. Exit via Door 2A, and then cross to the middle lane to catch the Hyatt's shuttle. If you are using Terminal 5, the shuttle picks up outside of Door 5E. Cross over the first lane of traffic and proceed to the designated shuttle pickup area under the awning.

You can track the shuttle in real time.

In addition to flying into O'Hare, you can drive and park, take the CTA Blue Line directly into the airport, or take the Metra North Central Service (NCS) to the O'Hare Transfer Station where you can catch a shuttle bus to the Airport Transit System which will take you to the terminals.

From the Rosemont Transit Center

The Rosemont Transit Center is located at the intersection of River Road and I-90 in Rosemont, IL. It houses the Rosemont stop of the CTA Blue Line, as well as several Pace bus connections.

It is less than a half of a mile walk from the Transit Center to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago. Exit the station on to River Road, then turn left (south) and walk about a quarter of a mile down River Road to Bryn Mawr Avenue. Turn left and walk about 500 feet to the entrance of the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.

If you have some time or just want to see what is around the hotel on your way, you can also make use of the Rosemont Entertainment Circulator and get off at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center , which is connected to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare by the covered walkway.

If you have a lot of luggage, or just don't feel like waling outside, you can take the CTA Blue Line one more stop to O'Hare Inernational Airport and follow the instructions above. You are still going to walk a bit, but it will be indoors if that is your prefernce.

Driving to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago

Obviously you can drive to the venue. We've provided some basic directions. Please use your favorite app to get the best possible directions for your route and travel times.

The Greater Chicagoland Area loves their toll roads! Either get yourself an I-PASS or equivalent transponder, set-up Pay By Plate, or be prepared to track every toll collection point you pass and pay after the fact. See the Illinois Tollway for more information.

Using I-90 East (Towards Chicago)

Use the exit for O’Hare Airport/I-294 South. Bear to the right toward O’Hare Airport. After the toll booth, briefly merge onto I-190 West then take the second exit, for Mannheim Road South. Follow the exit ramp up, stay in the right lane, and immediately take the exit for I-190 East. Go 0.8 miles and take Exit 1B, River Road South. At the bottom of the ramp, stay in the left lane. Once you are on River Road, immediately get in the left lane and turn left onto Bryn Mawr Ave. The Hyatt Regency O’Hare will be on your left.

Using I-90 West/I-94 (Towards O'Hare/Rockford)

Stay on I-90 toward O’Hare International Airport. Take Exit 78, I-190/O’Hare Airport, then take Exit 1, River Road. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and go 0.3 miles and then turn left onto Bryn Mawr Ave. The Hyatt Regency O’Hare will be on your left.

Using I-294 North (Towards O'Hare/Wisconsin)

Take the exit for Balmoral Ave. (It will be immediately before the exit for I-90/O’Hare International Airport.) At the top of the ramp, turn right onto Balmoral Ave. At the second traffic light (a T-intersection), turn left onto River Road. Go under the Convention Center overhead walkway and turn right onto Bryn Mawr Ave. The Hyatt Regency O’Hare will be on your left.

Using I-294 South (Towards O'Hare/Indiana)

Exit onto I-190 West toward O'Hare International Airport. Go past the toll plaza, and take the Mannheim Road South exit. Follow signs for I-190 East (Chicago), then take Exit 1B for River Road South, turning left onto Bryn Mawr Ave. The Hyatt Regency O’Hare will be on your left.
