Christian Ready  

Christian Ready worked at NASA on the Hubble Space Telescope, Small Explorer program, and the X-Ray Timing Explorer.  At the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Christian served as a Program Coordinator implementing observation proposals using the Wide Field/Planetary Camera 2, helping to "take" some of Hubble's most memorable images.  At NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, he worked in the Small Explorer program, supporting spacecraft flight operations for the Fast Auroral Snapshot Explorer (FAST), Transitional Coronal Explorer (TRACE), and the Submillimeter Wave Astronomy Satellite (SWAS).  Later, he supported science observation scheduling on the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer (RXTE).

Christian is currently a Web developer supporting the Joint Lessons Learned System for the Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned and U.S. Air Force A9/Office of Lessons Learned.

In his volunteer career, Christian is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol/United States Air Force Auxiliary.  He served as commander of the Carroll Composite Squadron and Commander of Group II, Maryland Wing.

Christian is married to Jeri Smith-Ready, author of several romantic and urban fantasy novels; and daddy to his Greyhound Meadow and cat Misha.
